Key content: Students will explore the inner workings of the local DC government, including its branches and local leaders, gaining an understanding of the democratic process.
Focus questions: What is the U.S. Capitol and what is Congress? Why is the Capitol building located in Washington, DC? How does the Capitol buildingβs design reflect important American values?
